Chromalox component heaters are typically used to heat liquids, air, gases, surfaces, and metal parts in a wide variety of industrial process and commercial heating applications. These heaters come in a wide variety of types, including: tubular, strip, ring and disc, band and nozzle, cartridge, flexible, and specialty (melting pots, hot plates, thin blade, and screw base space heaters). Component heaters can be used by themselves, and many can be incorporated into more complex heating systems.

Chromalox immersion heaters are available in three distinct designs: Flanged, Over-the-Side, and Screw Plug. Flanged and screw plug heaters are widely used in heating process gases and liquids in applications such as hot water tanks, warming equipment, food processing, cleaning and rinsing tanks, heat transfer systems, process air and boiler equipment, preheating oils, and fluid freeze protection. Over-the-side heaters have wide application in heating liquids such as water, oil, acids, brine, plating and pickling solutions, organic chemicals, and other corrosive solutions.

Chromalox circulation heaters are packaged units designed to heat a flowing medium using inline or side-arm piping configurations. Circulation heaters can be mounted on the side of tanks, inserted into closed-loop systems or installed in-line for process heating. Typical applications for these heaters include clean and pure water, oils, heat transfer fluids, both mild and highly corrosive fluids, and process gases, air, and steam.

Chromalox packaged systems include both boilers and heat transfer systems. Steam and hot water boilers are available for a wide range of industrial process, commercial, and comfort heating applications, including: low capacity compact boilers, standard vertical boilers, and special process and OEM boilers. Heat transfer systems for use in process heating applications that require closely controlled process temperatures are offered in a choice of hot oil systems, water circulating temperature control systems, and circulating oil temperature control systems.

Chromalox process air and radiant heaters include a broad range of heater choices for a variety of process heating applications. Process air heater choices include air duct, finned strip and finned tubular air heaters. Process radiant heaters are offered in a choice of ceramic, metal sheath, quartz, and panel-style wide area radiant heaters. Oven sections and specialty radiant heaters are also offered.

Chromalox electric comfort heaters provide efficient, economical heating for commercial and industrial applications. The three basic types of Chromalox comfort heaters are convection, forced air and radiant. They apply safe, clean, fast heat and their heavy-duty construction affords long, dependable service. Convection heaters are a common heat source for small areas, while forced air heaters are usually the choice for heating larger areas. Comfort radiant heaters are ideal for spot heating cold areas or for freeze protecting or thawing process equipment and machinery.

Chromalox heat tracing products include a choice of heating cable for freeze protection in both industrial process and commercial heating applications. The industrial heat trace products include self-regulating cable for both hazardous and non-hazardous locations and for constant wattage applications. For commercial applications, freeze protection cable for water lines, roofs and gutters is also offered.

Chromalox temperature control products include a wide range of instruments, components and systems for use in a variety of heating and temperature control applications. Included are temperature sensors, temperature controllers and thermostats, single and multi-loop controllers, SCR power control components, and a variety of peripheral instruments.
