UFM CoolPoint and CalPoint vortex shedding flowmeters are specifically designed for coolant or water flow measurement in automotive manufacturing, energy management, metals and mining, industrial machinery, plastics and rubber processes, paper mills, power plants, electronics, and more. Temperature measurement, along with flow measurement, is optionally available.

UFM vane-style variable area flow meters are commonly used for monitoring the flow rate of clean fluids such as water, lubricating oil, chemicals, brine, de-ionized water, paint and compressed air. UFM offers a choice of models to handle a wide range of flow rates, pressures, and corrosive fluids.

UFM INSITE Series variable area flow indicators are low cost, inline flow monitoring devices for use on clean fluids in a wide range of applications. Models are available for general purpose use on clean water, compressed air, and nitrogen gas; for ultra-pure and deionized water flow on semiconductor tools and wet benches; and for visual indication and verification of 1 to 5% dilute aqueous solutions used in water and wastewater treatment. Optional switch kits allow for high and low alarm outputs.

UFM’s MG Series flow sensors are insertion-style magnetic flowmeters for use with conductive liquids in pipe sizes 1" to 8". With no moving parts, it is suitable for corrosive environments and for difficult applications such as those involving changing viscosities or pulsating flows. UFM offers a choice of a blind transmitter with analog output, or the FT-420 loop-powered microcontroller-based transmitter/indicator. This unit displays flow rate and total flow, and provides both an analog and programmable pulse output for remote monitoring and control.

UFM’s PW Series insertion-style paddle wheel meters are designed for use on clean liquids in pipe sizes 1/2" to 8". The rotation of the rotor is detected by a non-drag Hall-effect sensor that provides a pulse-type square wave output, which can be sent long distances (up to 2,000 feet) without a transmitter. PW Series meters are ideal for chemical proportioning applications. UFM offers the FT415 microcontroller-based flow computer, which is powered by a lithium battery, for local or remote display of flow rate and total flow. A programmable pulse output allows for use in metering pump pacing or datalogging.
