TARRYTOWN, NY, September 12, 2005 -- Hitachi America, Ltd., Power and Industrial Division, today announced the new software package “HiSAVE VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) Energy Savings Estimator”. HiSAVE is primarily aimed at HVAC and Pumping customers, but Industrial customers may benefit from it as well. Its purpose is to help users estimate what electric energy cost savings would be realized if they installed an inverter (VFD) to replace older mechanical means of regulating air/fluid flow. HiSAVE also includes some very useful tools for calculating horsepower and torque; it also includes AC Induction Motor speed/slip, Three-Phase Power, and Ohm’s Law calculators.
Compatible with Windows® 2000 & XP, the software is a FREE download from the “Software Downloads” area of www.hitachi.us/inverters, and requires no additional software or hardware to use.
