With the LSF-SMT series of compact OMNIMATE Signal PCB connection terminals – which are suitable for front-panel cut-out, feature “PUSH IN” connection technology and are designed for pitches measuring 3.5/3.81 mm, 5.00/5.08 mm and 7.50/7.62 mm, for the conductor outlet directions of 90°, 135° and 180° and for connecting wire cross-sections of up to 1.5 mm2 – Weidmüller is offering an extensive range of solutions to cover a multitude of applications. The use of LCP, the highly temperature-resistant insulating material, allows the OMNIMATE Signal connection terminals to retain their shape, even in reflow soldering processes. The innovative “PUSH IN” connection enables simple, secure and economical cabling.
The LSF-SMT series of OMNIMATE Signal PCB terminals feature solder pin lengths of 1.5 or 3.5 mm and are available in a block design with 2 to 8 or 24 pins (pitch: 3.5/3.81 mm). They are also offered in “tape-on-reel”, the packaging suitable for use in automated assembly. The products can therefore be easily used in the reflow process along with other SMT components – guaranteeing complete consistency in the SMT production process.
Weidmüller is offering the LSF-SMT series of OMNIMATE Signal PCB terminals with “PUSH IN” connection technology. The innovative connection system cuts an impressive figure thanks to its simple, secure handling and extremely short cabling times. All you have to do is simply plug stripped, solid conductors or conductors fitted with wire-end ferrules into the clamping point – and you're done. No tools are required for connection. Finely stranded conductors, meanwhile, are connected by opening the clamping point. Simply press the integrated push-button to do this. Press it again to unclamp connected conductors.
The LSF-SMT OMNIMATE Signal PCB terminal featuring “PUSH IN” technology holds solid or finely-stranded conductors with a cross-section range of 0.14 to 1.5 mm2 (AWG 24-16) – with or without wire-end ferrules. As it is designed as a TOP system, pressing the “PUSH IN” contact enables conductors to be inserted and unclamped as part of a parallel process.
LSF-SMT OMNIMATE Signal PCB terminals are made of LCP, the highly temperature-resistant insulating material, which is characterised by its shape and dimensional stability. As it absorbs very little water, the “LSF-SMT” can be used in the THR reflow soldering process without having to undergo a prior drying phase. An uninterruptible production process from automatic machine assembly to soldering is guaranteed, thus saving time and money. The use of LCP allows compliance with the increased requirements for fire safety in accordance with the household appliance standard IEC 60335-1.
