Yes, it can.
Even pure water with resistance of 10MΩcm or above includes lots of impurities when it leaks and then the resistance decreases. Thus, use the K7L with maximum sensitivity to detect almost all of impurities.
Can the Liquid Leakage Sensor Amplifiers "K7L" detect oil?
It is almost impossible.
However, in the case when oil such as cutting oil and used engine oil contains lots of impurities including metal powders, it may be detected.
Confirm the above by evaluating with actual equipment.
Can a single Liquid Leakage Sensor Amplifiers "K7L" detect more than one liquid leakage?
Yes, it can.
It is possible to detect more than one liquid leakage with a single K7L by connecting sensing bands in parallel with use of terminal blocks
However, be aware that the sensing band where a liquid is leaked cannot be specified.
How does the D7G-F Vibration Sensor prevent false detection of earthquakes?
The D7G-F Vibration Sensor operates with the following mechanisms.
1) When an earthquake occurs, the Sensor will detect that the vibration level has exceeded the detection vibration level.
2) If the vibration cycle is 0.1 to 2.0 s and it continues for more than 1.5 cycles, the Sensor will detect an earthquake.
3) When the acceleration of the vibration exceeds the set value, the Sensor concludes that there is an earthquake and the Vibration Sensor operates.
Even if the acceleration reaches the set value, if the vibration cycle is not within the range, the Sensor will conclude that there is no earthquake, thus preventing a false detection.
In locations where vibrations or waves similar to seismic waves (false vibrations) occur, it may operate. Check whether there are false detections when selecting a location to use the Sensor.
Test the planned installation location by installing the D7G-F for 1 to 2 days and seeing if the operation indicator lights, or the display goes above 100 gal. If either of these happens, vibrations similar to earthquakes are probably being detected in that area, so change the installation location.
What is the monitor output resolution and/or the analog output resolution of the D7F-C01/-C03 Vibration Sensor?
The monitor output and analog output of the D7F-C01⁄-C03 do not have resolutions.
This is because there is no A⁄D conversion circuit. Analog data is output as analog output.
The resolution of the output waveform is the resolution of the measurement device, such as an oscilloscope.
If D7G-F Vibration Sensor is directly mounted on a machine that sways, can it still detect earthquakes?
The D7G-F senses vibration in the X-Y direction so it cannot detect earthquakes if it is mounted directly onto the machine. Mount it on a fixed post or pillar instead.
How much inclination can D7E-1/-2 Vibration Sensor tolerate if it is mounted on a horizontal surface?
An inclination of 0.5° can be tolerated for horizontal mounting.
Make sure that the inclination does not exceed 0.5°.
What are the characteristics of the 1st and 2nd stage outputs of the D5R-1517 Inclination Sensor?
The D5R-1517 has a two-stage operation.
(1) The 1st stage output is a 1-Hz intermittent output.
The deviation of the operating angle (ON) for the 1st stage is as follows:

(2) The 2nd stage output is a continuous output.

The display/settings unit of the D7F-C03 Level Meter is % FS.
FS is an acronym for full scale. It indicates the full size of the measurement range.
Therefore % FS indicates a fraction of the full scale, in the form ××%.
Set the operating mode to ACC (acceleration) and the GAIN switch to the ×1 range.
Referring to the specifications in the D7F catalog, the corresponding full scale is 98 m/s2
Under these conditions, looking at the indicators,
The threshold setting 55% to 65% FS, in terms of acceleration, becomes 98 m/s2 × 0.55 = 53.9 m/s2. Following this calculation, the range is 53.9 to 63.7 m/s2.
What is the setup procedure for D7F-C03 Vibration Sensor?
The D7F-C03 is a Controller with a linear output. Use the following procedure to set it up.
(1) Select the Operating Mode Set the ACC/VEL Selector to either ACC (acceleration) or VEL (velocity). If you are not sure, set it to ACC.
Acceleration is the change of speed per unit of time. The range of vibration frequencies that can be detected in the ACC mode is broader than in the VEL mode. (The frequency range of ACC mode is 20 to 2,000 Hz.)
The ACC mode is applicable when the vibration frequency is relatively high.
Velocity is the change in distance per unit of time. It is applicable when the vibration frequency is relatively low. (The frequency range of VEL mode is 10 to 1,000 Hz.)
Depending on the sensing object, the VEL mode may be better than the ACC mode. Try the ACC mode first, but if you encounter many detection errors, set the Controller to VEL mode.
(2) Set the Gain Set the GAIN Selector in accordance with the level of vibration.
Select a gain from the following three ranges.
The ×10 range is for 9.8 m⁄s2 or lower, and therefore represents a more sensitive setting compared to the ×1 range.
