Ametek Pressure Gauge Snubber shields your pressure gauge or transmitter against damaging pulsations, pressure surges or spikes. It improves the consistency and readability of the gauge reading. It can also help extend the life of your instrument. Pressure snubbers are installed between the process and the pressure instrument by tightening the threaded connections into place. Once the snubber is installed, the process then goes through the porous metal disk in the snubber before reaching the gauge or transmitter. The porous disk dampens the flow of the surges or spikes, protecting the pressure instrument. The pressure instrument will continue to operate at its rated accuracy with a snubber installed.
