SG-SRT: for the availability of safety commands at the gate

Datalogic Automation is pleased to announce the introduction of SG-SRT the new accessory connection box to be combined with all SG BODY BIG, SG BODY REFLECTOR and SG BODY COMPACT safety light curtains for body protection and access control. 

The new SG-SRT evolves and improves SE-SRT connection box supposed to be obsolete at the end of JUNE 2011. Based on Datalogic CBX800 GATEWAY housing SG-SRT is developed to fit the advanced functionalities of new SG BODY BIG, SG BODY REFLECTOR and SG BODY COMPACT safety light curtains guaranteeing easy installation, connection, configuration and use. 

SG-SRT is then provided in 2 different models. 

SG-SRT-1 version represents the natural replacement of SE-SRT. In palletizing machines or robot cells it’s much more comfortable to have OVERRIDE and RESTART commands locally, by each curtain, in order to keep under control every single protected area. SG-SRT-1 fulfills those needs thanks to:

-Lighted restart button and output status / weak signal led: button is ON when curtain is NORMAL OPERATION and turn OFF when curtains’ beams are interrupted;
-OVERRIDE KEY;
-2 INTEGRATED SAFETY FORCE GUIDED RELAYS : 3 NO + 1 NC each;
-EDM : it’s possible to select, through dedicate jumpers, if realizing EDM circuit internally or externally through force guided contactors;
-Fairlead for passage of cables towards the machine for:
-TX wires;
-RX wires;
-Power supply;
-Connection with output contacts of the internal safety relays and static outputs of the light curtain;
-SG-SRT-2 is especially designed to work together with new SG BODY BIG and SG BODY REFLECTOR series exploiting their full functionalities.

Implementing the same functions of SG-SRT-1 model, SG-SRT-2 has also:

-An integrated MUTING LED LAMP. Customer can select, through a dedicate jumper, is using it or connecting to an external MUTING LAMP;
-Selection of MANUAL or AUTOMATIC restart (through a dedicate jumper);
-Fairlead for passage of cables towards the machine for:
-TX wires;
-RX wires;
-Power supply;
-Connection with output contacts of the internal safety relays and static outputs of the light curtain;
-Muting enable signals from the outside;
-Output signals which indicate the OVERRIDE status;

SG-SRT series guarantees total compatibility with SE-SRT together with additional functionalities. 

SG-SRT drastically reduces the overall plant costs (components, cabling and configuration) thanks to is extremely installation easiness.
